Features

Everything a signing desk needs — and nothing it doesn't.

Built as decoupled engines (security, token I/O, signing, appearance, placement, workflow, batch, classification, configuration, logging) so behaviour stays predictable and auditable instead of hiding inside one large script. Tiers are marked where a capability is not on the free edition.

Plug-and-play token detection

Recognises the token families used across Indian DSC issuance and loads the matching PKCS#11 driver automatically.

  • Watchdata ProxKey
  • Feitian ePass & Hypersecu
  • M-Token CryptoID
  • SafeNet eToken
  • InnaIT PKCS#11 (Precision)

Visual signature placement

What you drag is what gets stamped. Position with the mouse, snap to a preset corner, or search the page for text such as “Authorised Signatory”.

  • Any page — last page by default
  • Resize and reposition before signing
  • Text-anchor auto-placement PRO
  • Page-boundary checks

Six professional stamp styles

Match the look of your own letterhead instead of accepting one fixed box. Each style renders only the fields you enable.

  • Professional, Minimal, Standard
  • Adobe Classic, Text Only, Handwritten
  • Toggle name, organisation, date, reason, location
  • Style-specific fonts, colours and border

PIN safety by design

The PIN is handed straight to the token and held in memory for the session only. It is never written to a log line, never sent anywhere, and never stored in plain text.

  • Interactive entry by default
  • Log-redaction filter always active
  • Fernet-encrypted if you opt into cross-restart caching
  • Retry handling for a wrong PIN
  • No PIN in config or history files

Trusted timestamps (RFC 3161)

Switch on a TSA timestamp when a document needs provable “signed at” evidence beyond the local clock. Leave it off and signing stays fully offline.

  • RFC 3161 timestamp embedding
  • Graceful fallback if the TSA is unreachable
  • Only this step ever needs internet

Placement scripts & templates PRO

Save a placement as a reusable .signscript and reload it on the next document, or let a saved template be recognised by fingerprint and re-applied in one click whenever a matching file is opened.

  • Save and load placement scripts
  • Text-anchor placement (“Sign Here”)
  • 999 placements per document
  • No watermark

Batch signing ENTERPRISE

Point the SDPE batch engine at a folder of invoices, statements or certificates and sign the whole set in one run.

  • Multi-document batches from a file list
  • Parallel processing across tokens
  • Progress tracking with checkpoint recovery
  • CSV export of batch results

Smart document classification PRO

An optional classifier reads the document, identifies its type and proposes the matching template and signature slot, so a repetitive desk stops guessing.

  • Document-type detection
  • Template suggestions
  • Reusable signed templates

Built-in verification

Open a signed PDF and confirm it is intact — no upload and no external service. The Verify and Integrity tabs report the signer, certificate chain and timestamp, and flag any change made after signing.

  • Signature validity and coverage checks
  • Signer, certificate issuer and expiry
  • Tamper detection across the document
  • Copyable verification report
Automation

Also fully scriptable — the flash-signer CLI

Every release ships a command-line interface for automation, scheduled jobs and integration into existing document pipelines. It reports what it did with plain ASCII output, so redirected logs never break a run — and it is the same signing engine the GUI uses.

Styles: professional (default), minimal, standard, adobe_classic, text_only, handwritten. Token brands: watchdata, feitian, mtoken, safenet — or omit the flag and let auto-detection pick. Add --tsa to embed an RFC 3161 trusted timestamp.

What is not in 4.2: the honest limitation list — legacy SHA-1 documents, hot-folder watching, OS trust-store integration and QR/logo stamps — is kept in the FAQ rather than left out of it. Read it here.
